Camping is located on the bank of the river Oulujoki in Muhos, wich is about 30 km from/to Oulu driving the road 22.

Traditional camping on the bank of the river, surrounded by forest, peaceful atmosphere and beautiful nature landscapes. You can color your stay with activities such are sports on nature, photography, hiking, fishing, rent a canoe, kayak or a boat. Summer season in our region is full of events.
Camping comprises of 40 caravan pitches and 13 cottages. To complete your comfortable stay we have saunas, playground for kids, dancing floor under the roof, cabinets for events and etc. All these facilities will make your holiday warm, relaxing, funny, cosy and joyful.
Since 1.1.2011 we, Päivi and Peki Metsola, are the new owners of Montta Active Camping. Due to some years we aim to increase the level of camping classification into 3 and 4. In additional to providing comfortable stay, we focus on developing nature-, active- and sports as types of recreation. Impoving our camping services we take care of our region, local people, nature and tourists wishes. All your thoughts and ideas to develop our camping area and services are very welcome!

We have been operating in the nature tourism industry for almost 20 years. Utilizing nature with activities that respect it have been an operating model from the very beginning. Enthusiasm for more sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism and the utilization of nature has only grown with the studies of a nature instructor and environmental educator.
We want to act responsibly. In all our operations, we utilize already existing things / goods and repair the old one more efficiently or reuse everything that can be done, making the old new. Our need for electricity is generated by green electricity and we have mapped out the possibility of procuring solar panels for the roof. Waste sorting is also important to us.
We are members of ECEAT (European Center for Ecological and Agricultural Tourism) Finland, which promotes environmentally friendly tourism.
We have our own sustainable development / tourism program, which we review and update annually.
